How do farmers and ranchers apply nutrients to their crops?
As you've discovered playing Farmers 2050, plants need to eat just like you and me. Plants grow by sucking nutrients (primarily nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P) and potassium (K)) up from the soil. All sources of nutrients (fertilizer, organic/compost and manure) are natural and they come from the Earth. It is also very important to replenish soil nutrients each year for future crops. Check out this video to learn how farmers provide nutrients to their crops on the farm and maximize yields through best management practices.
